Overview

Compensation: 60,000-80,000 Base Plus Uncapped Commission

 

Model 1 Commercial Vehicles is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Commercial Business Development Manager to join our team! This role presents an exceptional opportunity to drive sales and shape the future of commercial/specialty vehicles in the Northwest territory. You will play a pivotal role in exceeding sales targets, cultivating lasting customer connections, and propelling company expansion.

Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development:

  • Strategically develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to propel commercial vehicle sales within the Northwest territory.
  • Precisely identify and engage potential B2B customers, such as businesses, contractors, and mid-sized fleet owners in the Northwest territory.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and competitor activities specific to the Northwest territory.
  • Build a robust sales pipeline by prospecting, qualifying leads, and converting them into sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the RVP and marketing team to develop and implement promotional strategies and campaigns.
  • Engage in immersive field-based product demonstrations, which involve transporting vehicles to customer sites, conducting walk-arounds, and delivering on-the-job presentations.

Relationship Management:

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, dealers, and industry influencers.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers within the assigned territory, addressing inquiries and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Conduct regular meetings, product demonstrations, and training sessions with customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products and services to existing customers.

Sales Performance and Reporting:

  • Meet and exceed assigned sales targets and objectives, consistently achieving quarterly and annual revenue goals.
  • Track sales activities, customer interactions, and progress using HubSpot CRM software and other designated tools.
  • Prepare accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for sales management.
  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and growth.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of demonstrated success in B2B territory sales, with a preference for experience in the commercial vehicle sector. Relevant experience in analogous industries will also be taken into account.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and a keen ambition to cultivate a thriving sales territory.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities that foster strong connections and impactful client interactions.
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities with a focus on building long-term customer relationships.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in using CRM software, MS Office suite, and other sales tools.
  • Proficient in using MS Teams and Zoom for remote meetings, both internally and externally.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the Northwest territory conducting face-to-face sales calls.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods and move around an office environment that may require movement in small areas.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
  • May be required to climb stairs when necessary.
