Overview

Come grow with us by joining our team as a Manager, Rental Fleet Maintenance!  In this role, you will play a critical role for the company and will work alongside other professionals within the team and other departments. You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our fleet vehicles. A key aspect of this role is to build out and manage a robust vendor network to ensure our vehicles are maintained at the highest standards and downtime is minimized. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a strategic mindset to develop and sustain vendor relationships that align with our operational goals.

Responsibilities

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

  • Vendor Network Development:
    • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new maintenance and repair vendors.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
    • Negotiate service agreements, pricing, and terms with vendors to achieve cost-effective solutions.
    • Develop scalable means to approve or decline large quantities of maintenance requests submitted both internally and externally.
    • Continuously assess vendor performance through regular reviews and feedback.
  • Fleet Maintenance Coordination:
    • Approve or decline routine maintenance and emergency repairs for fleet vehicles.
    • Monitor vehicle performance and maintenance history to predict and prevent potential issues.
    • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and expenses.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Hire and develop a team of maintenance coordinators.
    • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to reduce vehicle downtime.
    • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to align maintenance activities with operational needs.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare regular reports on fleet maintenance activities, costs, and vendor performance.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on fleet maintenance strategies.

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in fleet maintenance coordination or a related role.
  • Proven experience in building and managing vendor networks.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving KPI targets and managing client relationships.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay Range

$95,000 - $110,000
