Overview

Come grow with us by joining our team as a Senior Accountant!  In this role, you will play a critical role for the company and will work alongside other professionals within the team and other departments.  You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and timely financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in various accounting functions, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and consolidate financial statements in compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Month-end and Year-end Closing: Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, and ensure accuracy in financial data.  Prepare work papers that provide detailed support of all balance sheet account balances.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and contribute to enhancing accounting procedures.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Matters: Stay updated on accounting standards, ensure compliance, and make recommendations to align with changes in regulations.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, providing insights, trends, and forecasts to support decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic planning.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, ensuring their professional development.

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA or relevant certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on financial reporting, analysis, and compliance.  Public Accounting auditing experience is a plus.
  • Strong technical accounting skills, knowledge of GAAP, and ability to analyze large volume sets of data.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in leadership or mentoring roles is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Pay Range

80,000-110,000
