Overview

Come grow with us by joining our team as a Senior Product Manager!  In this role, you will play a critical role for the company and will work alongside other professionals within the team and other departments. You will define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Model 1’s diverse range of commercial vehicles and services.  This role involves overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from market research and product development to launch and post-launce performance.  The Senior Product Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet customer needs and align with the company’s strategic goals.

Responsibilities

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

  • Product Lifecycle Strategy and Execution: Define the product lifecycle and strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and market needs. Develop and maintain the product roadmap across all channels.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape. Use insights to inform product decisions, create training and sales enablement material, and identify new opportunities.
  • Product Development: Oversee the product development process, ensuring timely and successful product launches. Collaborate with engineering, design, and other teams to deliver high-quality products.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute go-to-market plans across all internal and external channels, including digital, tradeshow, training, and other sales enablement initiatives. Work closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including sales, marketing, engineering, and customer support, to ensure product success. Facilitate communication and alignment across teams.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor product performance and customer feedback. Use data and insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of product managers. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the product management team.

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in the automotive or commercial vehicle industry is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of product development processes, market research methodologies, and go-to-market strategies. Familiarity with automotive or commercial vehicle technologies is a plus.

Pay Range

$110,000 to $140,000
