Overview

Come grow with us by joining our team as a Quality Control Inspector!  In this role, you will play a critical role for the company and will work alongside other professionals within the team and other departments. You will be responsible for conducting inspections on all completed vehicle services and confirmation of quality workmanship. You are also responsible for making sure every vehicle that leaves our lot is correct based on BOC, Customer PO and Creative Bus Sales quality standards. You will work closely with the shop foreman. You will conduct inspections with customers on new deliveries and report any changes, faults, concerns or alterations to shop foreman. No changes to be made without Model 1 authorization

Responsibilities

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

  • Review BOC and RO and perform quality checks on all buses before being delivered to customer
  • Meet with customers during initial inspection of vehicle and document any discrepancies and relay to shop foreman
  • Check quality of workmanship on all jobs done
  • Following Quality Control review, communicate with service writers and shop foreman when units will be ready for delivery
  • Meet with shop foreman and review finding during QC
  • Responsible for completing Quality Control Form and signing when complete acknowledging all work meets quality standards of the Company
  • Review and sign Quality Control Checklist document taking accountability for all repairs being completed and the quality of the workmanship meeting Model 1 standards
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 year’s Industry Experience
  • Technical knowledge of the characteristics and maintenance needs of a wide variety of transit and mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of shop operations
  • Strong Initiative
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Capable of time management

Physical Requirements

  • May be required to do frequent kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling and climbing to perform multiple tasks of position
  • Must have good manual dexterity
  • Must have the ability to push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs.
