Job Summary: A Field Service Technician provides service and customer support during assignments in the field. This position will manage all onsite repairs, maintenance and installation for our vehicles. This position must have the technical skills to diagnose errors and problems and determine the appropriate solution. The position requires experience in one or more of the following designations: Automobile (A 1-9), Medium/Heavy Truck (T 1-8), School Bus (S 1-7), and Transit Bus (H 1-8). It requires a minimum of four years’ experience in an automotive service facility and personal tools. Candidate must have the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License with passenger and air brake endorsement. Position requires the ability to achieve an efficiency level of eighty five percent or greater and pass ASE certification tests.

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

  • Act as the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and Facilities Coordinator- partnering with KPA and internal stakeholders to manage safety programs, environmental compliance, and site-specific requirements.
  • Lead the Safety Committee; support workplace safety strategies and initiatives.
  • Oversee facilities management, including coordination of general maintenance needs and capital improvement projects. Collaborate closely with location-based operations managers to assess, prioritize, and implement facility upgrades and repairs.
  • Partner with local trade schools to help develop relevant training programs and support a pipeline of skilled technicians; coordinate engagement with schools and curriculum planning.
  • Assist in special project coordination including site-specific efforts.
  • Support administrative work related to new construction projects.
  • Support business development efforts related to Aftermarket mobile service and parts sales strategies in partnership with key stakeholders within the Duncan, OK area.
  • Manage rental fleet maintenance and service coordination, supporting internal requests and overseeing vendor scheduling.
  • Maintain accurate records for safety training, inspections, certifications, and compliance documentation.  Provide administrative support across operational areas as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a coordination, safety, or administrative operations role.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with safety standards, training development, and project coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively across departments.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Will be required to do frequent kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling, and climbing to perform multiple tasks of position.
  • Must have good manual dexterity.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a valid driver’s license, which includes successfully completing Medical Exam, Driving Test, and all other license requirements.
