Job Summary: The Corporate DMV Manager oversees the DMV department and processes at all locations. The Corporate DMV Manager ensures the accurate and efficient processing of vehicle titles by DMV staff, ensures compliance of relevant DMV regulations, and interacts with customers and regulatory agencies to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, update, and maintain DMV processes and procedures for all Model 1
  • Supervise, hire, and direct daily duties for DMV staff at the Corporate Office; set goals; prepare performance reviews; handle disciplinary issues.
  • Provide support to individuals performing DMV duties at all other Model 1
  • Keep up to date with changes to DMV federal, state, and local laws and regulations and industry best
  • Regularly monitor and audit DMV department ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations as well as Company processes and procedures
  • Monitor and maintain DMV data integrity in dealer management Create reports as needed.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for DMV department and ensure department alignment with Company
  • Train all DMV clerks and internal departments on DMV systems, processes, and procedures
  • Set up and maintain state and third-party vendor accounts for temp tag and registration
  • Handle registration renewals and transfers for Company
  • Solve problems and address DMV concerns of internal and external
  • Maintain MSOs/Titles of Company inventory and participate in bank audits of MSOs company
  • Serve as a liaison between sales, service, accounting, and transportation departments and participate in company meetings as a representative of the DMV department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of DMV experience and strong understanding of DMV and titling processes
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Prior dealership experience
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Effective communication skills both orally and
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task.
  • Extremely diligent in follow through

Physical Requirements:

Work is performed in an office environment. Will be required to stand, sit, and move throughout office as needed. May be required to sit in long intervals and climb stairs. Must have good manual dexterity.
