Overview

Come grow with us by joining our team as a Vehicle Billing Specialist/Staff Accountant!  In this role, you will play a critical role for the company and will work alongside other professionals within the team and other departments.  You will be responsible for accurate and timely invoicing and posting of the motor vehicle sales into the system with direct supervision. You will report directly to the Billing Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

  • Review and process Daily Vehicle Invoicing
  • Review and post daily journal entries for vehicle sales
  • Vehicle costing analysis and review
  • Vehicle profit analysis review and comparison
  • Accrual processing for pending costs
  • Reconcile customer PO’s to internal sales documents
  • Finance points revenue recognition
  • Review applicable fees (sales tax, DMV, etc.)
  • Review and follow up with sales representatives and service department on pending items
  • Provide billing reports to management
  • Provide general accounting support as needed, including audit. Verify number of delivery statuses to customers

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • 3 years accounting experience and/or AA/AS Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Understanding of general accounting concepts
  • Familiar with office administration related procedures
  • Understanding of double entry accounting
  • Understanding of the accounting billing cycle
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing invoices
  • Familiar with basic understanding of costing principles
  • Familiar with the COGS, gross profit, and gross margin concepts
  • Familiar with computer systems, including the ability o operate computerized accounting packages, spreadsheets, word processors and email
  • Familiar with aging and other accounts receivables reports
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks daily
  • Effective written, verbal and listening communication skills
  • Very effective organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good time management
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Type 45 WMPM, 10 key
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
  • Professional, Punctual and Reliable

 

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Must have good manual dexterity
